Old School Subconscious Thought

When it comes to the subconscious in many ways old school rules apply. That is, for those of you who put signs all over their house reminding you of their goal, this is effective. Many even have little verbal sayings like “champion” or “wealth.” These forms of subconscious training can still be effective. One way to enhance this simple tool is to consciously stop when you see one and take 30 seconds, close your eyes, and imagine actually having the thing that you want. I’ll huff and I’ll puff… The Arizona State women’s basketball team uses performance coach Al Fuentes to help the team prepare for success. He works with the women on visualization exercises and breathing techniques. Danielle Orsillo said, “Breathing is one thing you can control. You can slow it down and recover faster.”
